Hello
Hi, I’m Jen — and thank you for visiting Calm Potential.
This space was created to offer a calmer, kinder way to explore therapy, whether you're looking for a gentle Walk & Talk session outdoors or a reflective, supportive conversation online or in person.
If you’re here, something in life is asking for attention... and I’m really glad you’ve found your way to this page.
My Story
I’ve spent over 15 years in secondary education — in both teaching and pastoral roles — supporting people through some of their toughest moments… from anxiety, overwhelm and life transitions to grief, identity, and everything in between. Over time, I realised this was the work that mattered most to me: listening without judgement, helping people untangle their thoughts, and walking alongside them while they figure things out.
Alongside Calm Potential, I am also completing my counselling placement hours at The Jade L Roberts Project in Liverpool, a suicide-prevention charity dedicated to supporting people in crisis. This work continues to shape my practice with compassion, integrity, and trauma-informed care.
I’m now in the final year of my Level 5 Diploma in Counselling with Chrysalis, fully supervised, insured and Fit-to-Practice certified.
I also hold:
-
Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy
-
ASIST Suicide First Aid Training
-
Enhanced DBS
-
BA (Hons) English Language & Linguistics
-
PGCE Secondary Education
My approach is person-centred, pluralistic, calm, and human.
I adapt the work to you… your pace, your goals, your comfort level.
Whether we meet for a Walk & Talk session on a peaceful coastal path, or sit with a warm drink and work things through, my aim is simple: to give you a safe, steady space where you can breathe, explore, and feel supported.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You just need a place to start.
Calm Potential is that place.
